Day 2 continues

Day 2 has started! the agenda for today is:

– field of view (fov), which hides the map from the player until they see it up close.
– game states, I’ll probably use stack-based finite state machines here.
– basic combat system, npc death, npc movement, player death
– player inventory, monster inventory, monster drop items on death, player pick up items

I want to get as much core functionality done this weekend, as my dayjob will leave me with only 4 hours per day.

It’s great to see everyone’s progress, I’m having lots of fun!
