Friendly Meddling – Day 2


The first day was spent replacing my existing roguelike’s time system and AI to fit the new one’s needs, which wouldn’t have made for a visually interesting post. Today was a bit better; you now spawn in the game’s tower, albeit in a fairly unfinished state, and the UI is more compact, although some screens aren’t yet updated and there are bugs visible if you examine the screenshot closely. The enemies haven’t been touched at all, which will change soon.

Since you’re well above ground in a fairly tiny tower, I decided it would be a good idea to sell the situation with occasional views of the sky, with clouds and birds to add variety. Spells aren’t developed yet, but it’s quite possible that I’ll add mechanics that draw upon the outside environment, which is otherwise just pleasant decoration.
