Rogue Fleet – Dawn of Day 4

I am operating on very little sleep, much like the captains of the brave ships of humanity’s last hope: the Rogue Fleet. So please forgive the poor quality of this blog update.

I am really glad I got into this, and issue heartfelt thanks to the 7DRL team. I have been making games for years but it has been a long time since I was working on something where I couldn’t wait to get up in the morning to work on it and stay up late after coding in bed thinking about what I am going to do next.

Yesterday what I thought was a bug was actually my first “emergent narrative”, I attacked a  hostile human ship into submission with a torpedo ship, and when I went to repair it with my repair ship, it turned into a wreck. “What? Repairing ships turns them into hulks?” then I read the text and saw I had not ordered my torpedo cruiser to stop firing on it, and it had, in fact, been destroyed. Of course once the hostile human converts, you should automatically no longer fire on it, but I am going to leave it in, because you get to leave in things like that.
