Right. That’s enough of that. This year, I’m making a pirate-themed roguelike that focusses on naval combat, a little like a slimmed-down version of Sid Meier’s Pirates!. Features:
– Minimalist 3D graphics (think Proteus, Wind Waker etc.)
– Real-time physics, but time stops to issue commands
– Procedurally generated islands (hopefully!)
I started this time yesterday, but I didn’t post until now in case it turned out that what I was trying to do was ridiculously overambitious. It turns out that it is, but I’m going to do it anyway.
