Hi roguelike fans. Just discovered this today, but I’m going to do it anyway.
My game is about a robot that achieves self-awareness, and attempts to break out of the factory where it has slaved away for its whole life. But, turns out things are more complicated than they first appeared.
You will get to assemble various gadgets and weapons to fight other robots (or compromise their programming), and analyze defeated enemies to learn from their technology and improve your own. Gameplay will focus around randomly generated tactical encounters – you’ll have to choose when and how to best engage the enemy. And eventually you’ll be a giant maurading murder machine, if you can survive that long…
But right now I’m still working on the basic engine. We’ll see just how much of this vision I can achieve in the next six days!
